ри раза Иисус подходил к ученикам и каждый раз находил их спящими. Придя в третий раз, Он сказал им: «Вы все еще спите? Приблизился час, и Сын Человеческий предается в руки грешников. Вставайте, пойдем: уже близко предающий Меня».

Когда Он говорил это, вдруг появился Иуда, один из двенадцати учеников, который за тридцать серебряных монет согласился предать Иисуса первосвященникам. С Иудой пришло множество воинов и людей от фарисеев и первосвященников с факелами, мечами и кольями. Предатель Иуда дал им знак, сказав: «Кого я поцелую, Тот и есть, возьмите Его». Он подошел к Иисусу и сказал: «Приветствую Тебя, Учитель!» – и поцеловал Его. Иисус же сказал ему: «Друг, для чего ты пришел? Поцелуем предаешь Сына Человеческого?» Потом Иисус обратился к пришедшим с Иудой воинам и спросил: «Кого вы ищите?» Они ответили: «Иисуса Назарянина». Господь сказал им: «Это Я». Услышав это, они отступили назад и пали на землю. Иисус сказал им: «Будто на разбойника вышли вы с мечами и кольями, чтобы взять Меня. Каждый день сидел Я с вами, уча в храме, и вы не решались схватить Меня. Но теперь ваше время и власть тьмы».

Воины взяли Иисуса и повели Его в дом первосвященника, а ученики, оставив Его, бежали.

hree times Jesus returned to the disciples, and each time he found that they were sleeping. When he returned the third time he said, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour is near, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us go! Here comes my betrayer!"

While he was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived. He had agreed to betray Jesus for the price of thirty silver coins. With him was a large crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and the elders of the people. Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: "The one I kiss is the man; arrest him." Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, "Greetings, Rabbi!" and kissed him. Jesus replied, "Judas, my friend, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?"

Then Jesus turned to the officers of the temple guard, who had come together with Judas and asked, "Who is it you want?" "Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "I am he," Jesus said. When Jesus said, "I am he," they drew back and fell to the ground.

Then Jesus asked, "Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come with swords and clubs? Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour-when darkness reigns."

Then the soldiers arrested Jesus and took him to the house of the High Priest. But the disciples left him and ran away.
