IBT has released a new edition, the Zabur (Psalter) in the Nogai language. Previously published by IBT in this language were the books of Ruth, Esther and Jonah (2005), the New Testament (2011), Genesis (2016), Gospel Parables (2016), Proverbs (2017), the Pentateuch (2023), and the Children’s Bible (2025).

The Psalms – a collection of 150 ancient Hebrew poetic hymns – have been a cornerstone of worship and personal devotion for millennia. Traditionally attributed to King David and other figures of sacred history, they give voice to the full spectrum of human emotion: joy, anguish, repentance, and unwavering hope. In Muslim tradition, this book is better known as the Zabur. 

The Nogai language belongs to the Kipchak group of Turkic languages. The Nogais are settled over a wide area in the North Caucasus and the Southern Volga region of Russia. According to the 2021 census, over 109,000 people speak Nogai.

The print run of this edition was 700 copies. The cover and pages of the book are adorned with a traditional ornamental border. To aid comprehension, the book is supplemented with a brief glossary of terms and names of biblical figures in Russian and Nogai.
