Patriarch Kirill's letter of commendation to M. Beerle-Moor

On 15 September 2014 Dr. Marianne Beerle-Moor, the director of IBT Russia from 1997 to 2013, was honored with a letter of commendation from Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church for her many years of service to the cause of Bible translation into the languages of Russia, and in celebration of her 70th birthday last year. 

Previous awards and honors that Dr. Beerle-Moor has received include an honorary doctorate from the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Order of St. Dmitriy Donskoy and St. Sergius of Radonezh “For Serving the Native Land”, the Order of Civil Valor by the President of Yakutia, the "Forever Together" medal from the President of Kalmykia, and the Russian Orthodox Church's prestigious St. Innoсent Award.

As an experienced ethno linguist and specialist in the languages of the Caucasus, Dr. Beerle-Moor continues to serve IBT by doing consulting work for the Lezgi Bible translation project of Dagestan.
