In late November 2014, IBT's audio manager Rodion Popov traveled to Maikop, the capital city of Adyghea in south Russia, to record the recently published book of Proverbs in the Adyghe language. Three professional actors from the Adyghe National Theater lent their voices to produce the recording.

From 30 October to 6 November IBT and its partnering Bible translation agencies conducted a seminar for translation teams on the topic of "The Old Testament in the New Testament: Intertextuality in Translation". The seminar was attended by translation teams from 18 different projects within Russia and the CIS, while the lecturers came from various organizations in Russia (A. Desnitsky, A. Somov, V. Voinov, O. Zaprometova), the UK (S. Crisp, D. Gray), Holland (M. de Lang, L. de Regt), and Finland (M. Sivonen).

On 21 October the New Testament in the Mari-Hill language, published by the Institute for Bible Translation in Helsinki, was presented to the Mari people at the National Library of Mari El in Yoshkar-Ola (Russian Federation).

The main goal of the Lausanne-Orthodox Initiative is "to reflect constructively on the history of relationships between Evangelicals and Orthodoxin order to work towards better understanding, and encourage reconciliation and healing where wounds exist." The focus of the 2014 meeting, held at St. Vlash Monastery outside of Durres, Albania 15-19 September, was on the mission of God, and the different but potentially complementary approaches to mission in Orthodox and evangelical churches.

IBT has audio recorded the book of Psalms in the Yakut (Sakha) language and is currently preparing this recording to be made available to the public. This is the second book of the Bible in Yakut that can be listened to as well as read – in 2007, IBT's Yakut New Testament translation was audio recorded by the Yakut Republic Library for the Blind.

On 8-10 October 2014, an international conference entitled «InterMission Global» was held in Bangkok, Thailand. The event gathered almost 240 participants from around the world – representatives of organizations dedicated to the cause of Bible translation. IBT Russia/CIS was represented by Dr. Ketevan Gadilia, linguist and administrative coordinator of many of IBT's Bible translation projects.

Responding to numerous requests from Tuvan churches, the Institute for Bible Translation has published the 2nd edition of its popular Children's Bible in the Tuvan language – "Illustrated Stories from the Bible". The first edition was so popular that the entire print-run was distributed within the first several weeks after being delivered to Tuva in 2001 together with the New Testament. Since then, IBT completed work on the entire Old Testament and published the full Tuvan Bible in 2011.

On 19 September IBT hosted its annual Fellowship Gathering, a day for partner organizations from both Russia and other countries to meet with IBT's Moscow staff and hear reports about the ups and downs of translation work during the past year.

On 15 September 2014 Dr. Marianne Beerle-Moor, the director of IBT Russia from 1997 to 2013, was honored with a letter of commendation from Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church for her many years of service to the cause of Bible translation into the languages of Russia, and in celebration of her 70th birthday last year.

The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in eastern Siberia recently received 3,000 copies of the hot-off-the-press New Testament portion of the IBT Children's Bible in the Sakha/Yakut language, ordered by the Yakut diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.This is a brand new type of publication for IBT, containing over 150 NT stories with familiar illustrations from the Children's Bible.
